My work centers on helping people feel grounded, confident, and whole – because when we know who we are, we can move through this world with power and peace.
This has been true throughout my personal relationships and professional career – as a higher education professional or administrator, as a professor, or as a volunteer at non-profit organizations. And after years of doing this rewarding work, I was suddenly laid off due to the federal move to take away DEI programming in education systems.
At the exact same time, I broke my right ankle. The Universe literally sat my ass down and ensured I wouldn’t get up for a while. I was devastated. I mourned deeply, for many weeks.
But that forced rest became sacred. It gave me space to listen. Listen to my spirit, my ancestors, and the truth I had been carrying all along: I didn’t need an institution to do what I was born to do.
I have always felt called to help others step into their inherent power and challenge the false messages that society is so good at telling us about ourselves.
I’ve done that through teaching, leadership, and community work – but astrology opened a new doorway. It helped me understand myself on a deeper level.
I realized that by tapping into this significant method of understanding that is more than 4,000-year-old (astrology), I could help others do the same.
Black Star Wisdom was born from that revelation.
It’s a space for reflection, healing, and rediscovery.
A place where those who feel called can reconnect with who they really are – their power, their rhythm, their magic – and find clarity about their path forward.
I am only here to help facilitate that journey.
